What started as a single beehive on a downtown rooftop has grown into a movement—reconnecting city dwellers with nature, one jar of honey at a time.
In 2019, our founder placed a single beehive on a neglected downtown rooftop. What began as a personal passion project quickly revealed something extraordinary: the honey these urban bees produced was unlike anything available in stores.
The city's diverse flora—from rooftop herb gardens to boulevard linden trees, community garden wildflowers to park magnolias—created a nectar profile that was rich, complex, and completely unique to each neighborhood and season.
Word spread through farmer's markets and local cafés. Within two years, we had expanded to twelve rooftop apiaries across the city, each producing distinct honey that tells the story of its location.
We believe cities can be sanctuaries for pollinators. Through urban beekeeping, we support biodiversity, educate communities, and produce honey that connects people to the hidden nature thriving all around them.
Our bees' health always comes first. We never over-harvest, use organic treatments, and leave ample honey stores for winter.
We partner with rooftop garden initiatives and plant pollinator-friendly flora to enrich the city's ecosystem.
Every jar is traceable to a specific rooftop and harvest date. We share our methods, challenges, and bee health data openly.
Through tours, workshops, and school programs, we bring people face-to-face with the bees that pollinate their city.
